Over 400K Marchers For Women's March In NYC Took Over Fifth Avenue

NEW YORK CITY — An estimated 400,000 people packed the streets of Midtown Manhattan on Saturday to march in solidarity the day after President Donald Trump's inauguration.

A sea of people began coming in at 2nd Avenue to 42nd Street and west to Fifth Avenue before heading north towards Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue at 56th Street. The march started at around 11am and still continues at night. On Saturday evening a spokesman for the New York City mayor's office tweeted the official crowd estimate for the event was over 400,000.

People chanted "This is What Democracy Looks Like" and "Not My President" in a march that snaked from the UN headquarters on the East Side, across 42nd Street and up Fifth Avenue to President Donald Trump's home.
